Draft updated October 1, 2026. Effective date: pending adoption. This draft covers the public ChapelCloud website and related inquiries. Service-specific data processing must be documented separately before customer systems or records are accepted.
Scope and responsibility
ChapelCloud is a Digifender LLC brand based in Idaho, United States. This notice concerns chapel.cloud, a public website describing church software, hardware and managed IT. We determine the purposes of our website operations and business correspondence. Privacy requests may be sent to legal@digifender.com.
Reading a service description does not create a church-management account or submit a donation. The reviewed public pages have no account registration, donation form or checkout. This notice does not describe a deployed congregation database, payment system, remote-support connection or customer backup service.
Website information
The website uses Cloudflare for request delivery and security. Page requests involve technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps and network or security signals. We use operational information made available to us to deliver the site, diagnose faults and address abuse. Cloudflare explains its own processing in its Privacy Policy.
The public pages reviewed for this draft load their scripts, fonts and images from the ChapelCloud website. No advertising pixels, third-party analytics requests or embedded payment forms were identified in that review. Cloudflare security processing can still occur. The Cookie Notice explains the observed browser-storage behavior and its limits.
Correspondence and recipients
When you email, telephone or write to us, we receive the contact information and material you provide, together with ordinary correspondence metadata. We use it to answer inquiries, discuss proposed work, administer business records, handle rights requests and address legal or security matters. An inquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing.
Hosting and communications providers handle information needed to deliver their services. Authorized personnel and professional advisers may access relevant information when needed for the purposes described here. We may disclose information when legally required, to investigate abuse or protect rights, or in a business transfer subject to applicable protections. A recipient's independent activities may be governed by its own notice.
Church and service information
An initial inquiry should describe your technical needs without including congregation directories, pastoral-care notes, children's records, donor information or credentials. Religious affiliation, pastoral circumstances and children's information can require particular legal and security protections.
Before a service needs access to such records, the applicable agreement and notices must identify the actual processing, roles, permitted instructions, recipients, safeguards and retention. A church's purposes and legal responsibilities remain distinct from ours. Its notice should explain its own uses of member, donor, staff and volunteer information. This public website draft does not authorize new collection or establish a completed data processing agreement.
Retention, security and locations
Website operational information and correspondence are retained as needed for their purposes, including resolving requests and meeting legal recordkeeping requirements. A fixed retention schedule for all ChapelCloud correspondence and provider records has not yet been confirmed. We do not promise a universal deletion period or immediate removal from provider backups.
The website uses HTTPS for traffic in transit. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. This notice does not promise US-only processing, a particular certification, or security and backup arrangements for services that have not been agreed and configured.
Choices and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. Contact us to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify it. Where an appeal is available, reply to our decision or use the subject "Privacy appeal." You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator.
No ChapelCloud advertising or data-sale program is described or enabled by this draft. We have not identified targeted-advertising technology in the reviewed public site; any later use requires assessment and the applicable notices and controls. Browser settings can manage cookies and similar storage as described in the Cookie Notice.
The public site is intended for adult representatives of churches and other organizations, not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Service designs involving children require a separate assessment.
Changes and contact
We will date updates and provide any additional notice or consent required for material changes. Publishing this draft does not replace those obligations.
